Q: What is Feng Shui?
A: Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice aimed at harmonising individuals with their environment. It involves arranging spaces and objects to optimise the flow of energy, or “qi,” to enhance health, happiness, and prosperity.

Q: What is Binary Feng Shui?
A: Binary Feng Shui, also known as Digital Feng Shui or I-Ching Binary, represents a contemporary interpretation of the ancient Chinese divination system, the I-Ching or Yee Jing. This fusion of traditional wisdom with modern technology reflects the adaptability of ancient philosophies to our digital age. Q: Why is it not good to have a bed that faces directly north and South?
A: In Feng Shui, the orientation of your bed can significantly impact your well-being. Facing the bed directly north or south is generally discouraged because:
- North & South Sleeping Direction: The Earth’s magnetic field runs north-south, and sleeping with your head to the north can cause magnetic interference, potentially disrupting sleep and causing health issues.
- Magnetic Influence on Blood: Human blood contains a high percentage of iron, which is influenced by magnetic fields. When you sleep north-south, the magnetic field can pull the iron (ferritin) towards your head or feet, similar to the poles of a bar magnet. Over 6 to 8 hours of sleep, this position may cause headaches, leg pain, bad dreams, sleeplessness, and other potential health issues.
Q: What happens if there is a water element on the wrong side of the house, inside or out?
A: In Feng Shui, water elements symbolise wealth and prosperity. However, placing them incorrectly can lead to negative effects, such as:
- Pools of Water: Avoid digging a swimming pool in the harmony area of the home, as it can potentially cause divorce and financial turmoil.
- Wrong Placement: Placing water features like fountains or aquariums in fire element areas can disrupt the energy flow, leading to potential financial instability and health issues.
Q: Where are the natural energy resources within the home? What practice can we do to minimise this energy if it’s too much?
A: When appliance(s) are not in use or not ignited, they will not create too much energy but if the facing of an appliance such as a Stove, Oven or Microwave is facing directly to Taisui (the Governor) or Samsad of the Year (3 Killers), then it will create too much energy that will cause problems such as financial, health issues to all of the family members throughout the year!
