What are the Eight Characters (Four Pillars of Destiny) Explained
Often also referred to as the BaZi. It is an ancient system based on principles associated with human characteristics, metaphysical, combined with the natural world linked to the astronomical.
It is based on thousands of years of observational data that implies a persons’ destiny (fate) is influenced by the interplay between the five natural elements of: wood, fire, earth, metal, water; and the associated characteristics of human behaviour attributed with descriptive names as defined in the 12 animals, commonly referred to as: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, pig.
Each person’s eight characters are made up of four pairs (pillars) with each pair representing a specific aspect of a person’s life. This base of data is used by Attha Academy as the “starting point” to determine a person’s destiny or fate based on their birth year, month, day, and time.

- Day Pillar - Exploring the Self: The Day Pillar, central to the intricate web of adult life, turns the focus inward. It is a profound exploration of oneself, illuminating personal strengths, challenges, and the unique journey of self-discovery. This pillar serves as a compass for navigating the complexities of individuality.
- Time Pillar - Nurturing Future Generations: The Time Pillar directs our attention to the future, focusing on children and the legacy we leave behind. It sheds light on the nuances of parenthood, career paths, and the intricate balance between personal aspirations and family responsibilities.
From this base point, and applying Attha Academy’s more advanced historical data sets, we can determine much more about your life from birth to death; and the many aspects of your life long happenings in between.
How is the System Used?
Traditionally it is used to forecast ones destiny (fate). Attha Academy has taken this ancient system to a new and modern level with a unique form of analysis that can only be achieved through the advances of data electronification and programming; plus applying additional but unique data research by our Group collated and translated over 30 years!
This data is very ancient and is not well known to other practitioners of this art, who tend to copy and repeat rather than apply true research and individual analysis! In that sense the Attha Academy system stands alone as unique.
